Christmas 2010

I have started my Christmas 2010 spreadsheet, with my ideas for Christmas presents for this year.  I have tried to make lots of gifts home made, as I am quite over the commercialism that Christmas has become. Christmas is really important to me as a family time, and I like the tradition of it all, the family get togethers, the Xmas eve and Xmas day and even Boxing day family dinners and lunches, and giving everyone their gifts. I really do get more satisfaction out of giving gifts and in people appreciating the time and effort and meaning of taking the time to make something that is suited to that person (I hope) My spreadsheet includes the items I intend on giving, ideas for gifts, and a timetable that I need to work on to get it all done in time. I intend to start on gifts in the next few weeks, so that I can have everything done in plenty of time without the usual last minute rush and panic. We'll see how that pans out! :)  As I make things, where possible I will post pictures on this blog, depending on whether the people that I am making the gifts for have access to my blog by then or not.
